Anna Galligan

Our current Outreach Officer, Anna Galligan, has been working in the area of the arts for over twenty years. Starting as a professional actress, Anna developed an interest in workshop facilitation as a member of Dublin Youth Theatre. Her main expertise was initially in drama with young people and her work quickly expanded into other sectors such as actor's training, youth work, social care and the education sector. She has also constantly looked for developing opportunities to support those who wished to work with others through drama. When working with the National Association for Youth Drama(NAYD) she created, designed and delivered ArtsTrain, a drama facilitation course now accredited at FETAC level 6. She also designed and delivered Leading On...NAYD's practitioners' training programme. She has delivered training and information sessions on facilitation, drama, child protection and other best practice supports for groups and individuals involved with theatre. She is interested in both the artistic application of theatre and drama and its uses as a tool for education, exploration, personal or self development and celebration.
